Skewed test. All lines should ve been soaked over night in water
But they were not all soaked so don’t that make it even?
I have a lot of bushes and use a Honda self propelled gas. I can mow under the bushes, release the self-propelled lever and free-wheel back. This is not possible with the Egos and people are complaining like crazy that the drive wheels lock up if you try that. Killer for me.
Yeah that does drive me crazy TBH but Honda has stopped making mowers
@@TheLawnReview Yes, but you can buy a used one a few years old and have a reliable mower for 20 more still!
@bobl997 then what??
lol the face flap test
Glad you liked that
I bought an Echo, self propelled, works OK, none of them are worth bragging on
Interesting. Haven’t tried that one yet
Mow once a week? Do you think the battery will last that long? Hmmmm..
What?
Just buy Maxpower twisted line and call it a day. Project Farm said😅😅😅😅😅😅
You want to try ours? I’ll send you some for free
On your edging test, it looks like you were nearly resting the DeWalt trimmer head in the grass. I'm guessing you had really short line or something. In any case, that DeWalt trimmer if used normally would have smoked the edging test.
I used the Dewalt trimmer many times outside of the video too. I put the head near the grass because it wasn’t actually cutting it up close so I tried to get SOMETHING. It was weak.
I would love an automatic mower. Is there an automatic snow shoveler?
Stay tuned
I love the Ego. So glad i bough it.
Love to hear that!
Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Self control is a real thing no matter what you use i can use any line for several hours by knowing
What do you mean
Can you check out a lawn mower robot? Want to buy a lawn mower robot but don't know which brand is more reliable.
Yes I’ve done a three way review of some. Go check it out on my channel!
Can you put a picture of the part of the bail handle. I took it off and don't know how to put it back. The black part that goes on the bail handle, which starts the mower is the part I need, haven't been able to find it. I glued it but it doesn't work, it could be I'm placing the bail handle wrong.
I’m sorry I can’t post pictures here
Great review. Some things I observed. In the case of the Ryobi, I happen to have a Ryobi backpack blower along with two 4 & 6 ah batteries. Ryobi 6 amp hour batteries last significantly longer and have a more powerful Max and nominal voltage performance. So it was not surprising to see the e-go with 56v own it but I will admit I was a bit disappointed. I expected more. Another thing worth mentioning is that though Ryobi advertises the handheld blower as being its most powerful; it's not. The backpack blower is more powerful. A test was conducted that compared the two and the backpack crushed it. That's why I bought it over the handheld. The backpack blower will also blow about 25 minutes on turbo with two 6 amp hour batteries. Ryobi now makes 12 amp hour batteries so theoretically one should run for about 50 minutes and being that it would be running 12ah batteries once again the Max and nominal voltage supply to the unit would be a little higher than any of the smaller batteries. Just food for thought For the record E-go also has a backpack blower that is probably more powerful than it's top performing handheld unit.
Interesting. I haven’t tried the Ryobi backpack blower. The residential version of the EGO backpack blower actually has fewer CFMs so you must be referring to their commercial line
Bought the impact sprinkler and replaced the head with an orbit Voyager 2. I haven't looked back since.
Heck yeah. Glad you like it
Mine keeps stalling and I am not sure why. Any tips would be appreciated I am about to return it.
Hmm. Some electric ones have to re-prime the pump before they keep going. How often?
@@TheLawnReview almost every time recently. It turns on like normal and the engine builds up and when I start to spray it just dies. Then I have to unplug it and plug it in again for it to turn on and repeat the cycle of not working. What would be the most common cause? It is practically brand new.
@@ValentinoRossFan46did you find out what is wrong?
Too bad y'all are too damn expensive I'm still using a rider from 08 that's on it last leg

Thanks for watching!
What are you using to make the 3/8th connector work with the 1/4th? What all do I need exactly to do this test myself?
THANKS BROTHER
Thank YOU!

Thank you!!
Awesome video! I have a round and round sprinkler and i have about an acre of yard. My dad also has a tripod sprinkler and it works great! You deserve waaaay more subscribers!
Hahah thank you very much!
Was about to buy a Makita mower since I have 2 4Ah 40V XGT batteries for my tools - glas I didn’t ! What a crap machine in comparison !
There are better ones out there!
I’ve been trying to get through to customer service or warranty dept for weeks. Nobody has EVER answered or called me back. I’m convinced they only have a warehouse to ship from abd nothing else. Probably a Chinese company posing as US and don’t have any staff here at all. Something’s stinks about this company. BBB gives them an F
Wow that’s awful. I hate to hear that. I know they have a US office in Charlotte
They have a line exactly as you described and it's called Max Power twisted .95
I need to check it out. We went and created our own haha.
Why couldn't you lock the power button and let it sit there until it runs out?
I wanted to take in the impact of the self-propelled function
Ego does not play around. They bring it every cycle of New tools.
I was impressed by this one..
too much grass
Why
Well considering the Ryobi and Milwaukee are made by the same company. It’s different results.
Drastically different.
Best pawnmower video ive ever seen thanks for all this 🙌🏾
Thanks for watching and for the nice comment!!
GAS LAWNMOWER WILL ALWAYS OUT LAST THE BATTERY CRAP .
Have you used one?
"Despite backlash from many landscaping professionals, California's ban on the sale of gas-powered lawn equipment took effect on January 1, 2024. The ban only applies to new purchases; homeowners and businesses can continue using their gas-powered equipment until the end of its life." - Real Clear Energy There are hundreds of serious reasons not to live in California. It is getting worse by the month. Stop voting Democrat to save California.
Isn’t that crazy
@@TheLawnReview I was born in California in 1945, lived there for 75 years and just left to go to Florida to be near one of our daughters.
@WilliamKiene-yg7rq it’s sad because California is so beautiful
their not electric, they are battery powered. electric would mean being powered by a cable directly connected to power in a home
Do you call a Tesla an electric car or a battery powered car?
@@TheLawnReview question. When you search for electric mower, do you see cables attached.... and when you search for battery mower is there a cable attached. For you to bring ev's into this just shows how stupid your argument is.
@@TheLawnReview hmm, dd you delete my comment that i replied to you with
😂
@@TheLawnReview oh dear me. Thats very telling about you as a person.
Battery sucks
It isn’t very good here
You used a turbo head on the EGO. And used a regular head on the Petrol You cant compare the 2. Petrol wouldhave still outlasted the Electric, and if you used the turbo head on the Petrol it would have left the EGO for dead..🫵🫵
Then the gas one should have come with a turbo. Don’t hate the player hate the game
Mine sounds like an F16 fighter jet🤬 Called the help line and was on hold for 45 minutes and then I just gave up. Not a good purchase if you like being able to hear afterwards.
Holy smokes hahaha. You must’ve had a defective product. Sorry to hear that man
I have 1.3 acres consisting of almost every strong weed known to our region. My EGO wipes them out without fail. However, I’ve never carved a chicken so I cannot rate it in that department.
Heck yeah! Glad to hear it. If you’ve never tried it on a chicken then you don’t really know what it can do…
Anyone seen my mower? It was in the yard just a minute ago and it just ran off.
Hahaha! I worry that eventually they might all band together and take over the world.
Do you want to make some more money, on a separate channel, do you have a Rumble back-up channel. BECAUSE I'M WATCH, and commit disappear when I place them.
What do you mean?
I won't buy one of these robots until technology does away with need for the boundary wire and the cut doesn't look like hair cut with blunt scissors.
Hey! They definitely have that capability but the three I was reviewing are more of the “economical” versions that cost less than $1k.
Where is Makita?
I personally haven’t been impressed with anything Makita has put out. Plus I ran out of chickens.
I agree with the aeration and the "crust theory". My formula for remedying yellow spots is to aerate the area that is yellowed with a probe as deep as I can (without striking any irrigation), throwing topsoil and some amendments on it and saturating with hose. That also seems to alleviate that extremely hard surface of bare spots in the lawn where grass does not grow and where I know irrigation is in no way reaching the grass roots. Great video, and appreciate your valuable tips!
That’s awesome and sounds like a great plan! Thanks for watching
Why not give the names of the makers? Kind of useless to have a trim line showdown without giving the names.
We were looking at the characteristics and types more so than the brand but I don’t disagree. It doesn’t really matter.
@@TheLawnReview So all .080 triangle shaped green trim line is created equal? What is the name of the yellow line that was triangle and the number one pick please and thanks.
Wish I could go thicker but I have an electric trimmer.

you're also wrong about pest control. there is literally a tab for customized pest control.
That’s not really the same thing as a “turf” pest. I appreciate your comment though!
Your wife ain't touching you for a reason and that weedeater ain't it, if you had a gas powered bank account shed swallow daily
the ego trimmer is what turned me on to that brand about 4 or 5 years ago and I was so blown away is the brand I go to for everything now. Still using mine with the original 2.5 ah battery with no issues but got bigger batteries now that came with other ego tools I got over the years.
Glad you like yours! They’ve got some great tools
